After the successful premiere of “The Lost Sock” in 2006, and the subsequent sale of DVD copies, Felixstowe Films has a small amount of “profit” which it intends to put into some new productions.
We’d like to continue with another full-length film during 2007, perhaps to shoot during the summer. Chris Gosling, who plans to produce and direct this, says he’d like to make a film with a harder and more action-driven edge, but retaining a sense of humour. It would also entail fewer major characters; two or three key parts would be wonderful!
It would need to be locally based - local locations are an intrinsic part of the Felixstowe Films ethos - and have a story which could easily sit here. We’d prefer to look at striking one-off feature ideas, rather than the kind of stories which are frequently on TV, like police procedurals. The best stories won’t concern themselves about production difficulties or details at this stage - we’re not yet looking for more than a simple treatment.
If you think you’d like to submit an idea for a story that might be interesting, please get in touch. If you already have a story that you’d like to work on, either full-length or short, we’d also like to hear from you. You can email us here.
Approached from another aspect, there are also some stories by local authors that they’d like to see filmed. If you’re interested in working with them to produce a film, get in touch.
