The first feature film ever to be totally created in Felixstowe, Suffolk - conceived here, created here, filmed and edited here, with local actors, locations and extras!

In fact, it's hardly been heard of here in Felixstowe - out of a population of around 25000, only a couple of thousand have heard of it - but world-wide, on the internet, tens of thousands watch it regularly and chortle in front of their computers . . .

The complete 11 episodes will be online here towards the end of May, and the feature film will be shown soon after.

The whole thing has been made as an entirely amateur adventure, although some of the writers and crew are surprising professional - and everyone involved has brought a professional and amazingly dedicated approach to the production. Even on the coldest shooting days, cast and crew turned up ready to brave the elements and the startled stares of passers-by.

If you enjoy The Lost Sock, or even if you hate it, let us know what you think. There's a blog, which is now closed,, and a forum space on the Felixstowe TV forum. You can also contact us by email at any time.

Enjoy!

The only film premiere ever to take place in Felixstowe was on Sunday 9th July, 2006 - it was, of course, The Lost Sock!
In the best tradition of movie publicity, we made our own movie of the opening itself, with the amazing Ruth Dugdall in charge of proceedings!

premiere1 It really was a very glittery moment, when the limo drew steadily to a stop and the first few people stepped out! It then had to go around the block a few more times, picking up over 20 people to be deposited at the bottom of the steps!

premiere 2Each car load was greeted either oiutside or indoors by Ruth Dugdall and her trusty cameraman Clive Garnham, and they gathered interviews with all the key people involved in the production (except for some, who they didn't recognise!)
